Week 4 in Villas

the primary is focusing on mi!!!! QUE GENIAL!!!!!!!!!!....i feel super honored...i don't know what to say...haha.  I'll send pics and take more..I'm so bad at that...but all my bags keep ripping and so I don't take my camera with me just for precautions sake...but I have taken a couple pics this week so I will send them to you!    things I want you to say...The food is so good...I really like WAnabanas and Cueritos...they are delicious...I'll take a pic and send it to you.  Or you can look up a pic. They are clear and look like worms...and I dont know what they are made of...and honestly I don't want to know...But, they are delicious with some Valentina salsa, limon and sal....so good...also CHURROS! chili Rellenos, and Pozole...those are my favorite foods here..so far.  Also, that a mission is one of the most amazing experiences one can  have.  Its a time when you can be at your highest point and your lowest.  but, the most beautiful part is that you learn to trust in the lord, and he can better trust in you.  I have never understood more the concepts of the gospel, and why they are important.  I can't wait to teach them to my future family.  Its an awesome experience...and its amazing to get to know gods children, all over the world, learn to love them, and for a time see them in a way similar to how our heavenly father sees us.
Also this week, we are teaching an 8 year old, named Alan, I think I mentioned him before. He's super sweet and hilarious! just a crack up...every lesson he begs to say the prayer and when we set up an appointment for the next lesson we'll set it for a couple days later and he will be like...awww..why not tomorrow?!?! jaja he always has the most sincere questions and is totally absorbed in the lessons...this week we were reading in the Bible, and he took my companions bible and said...why does yours not say the Santa Biblia on the front?...my companion was like...oh well its still the bible just doesn't have the name on the front...but it is on the spine...then he replied...oh I see it...so your biblia is pirated???...JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA It was so cute and so funny! a pirated bible jaja....kids are so honest.  We have had a lot of lessons this week on the family...and how the kingdom of God  is of the children...we need to be like them in order  to enter in.  They are so much like our savior Jesus Christ than us adults ha.  They are humble and willing to accept whatever advice comes their way.  they are happy, the smallest, simplest things make them happy...When we get older...we are always looking for bigger and better ways to be happy...but all you have to do is smile at a baby and they will smile back with all kinds of enthusiasm!....We can learn a lot from the children...there example, and there questions.
Things are going really good here in Villas, Queretaro Mexico...I'm loving everything about my new area, and my companion, and the ward...its a blessing and an honor to serve.

Con Amor

Week 3 in Villas

My area right now is pretty urban. The streets though are horrible and are all cobblestone.  I fell the other day and I trip all the time! I have ripped holes in basically all of my shoes!!! haha  There are other sisters living in the same house as us and one is from Mexico, the other is from El Salvador.  They are assigned to a different area, but we are actually living in their area.  We travel by bus to reach our area everyday.
It's getting hard to remember English...if everyone is speaking English then I remember it like nothing...but, if its English and Spanish..then my immediate response is in Spanish.  Would I consider myself fluent?  No...not at this moment.  I still stumble on a lot of things...but I know a lot more.  I understand, and it's not something I worry about all the time like I used to.  But, I'm still learning new things literally everyday.  We had an investigator come to church with us this last Sunday.  Her name is Andrea and she is 15 years old, and is super sweet!  She really wants to become a memeber of the church.  The family she lives with are members, but they are less actives and since we have been visiting her they have been coming to church as well! oh yea!

What do I want to share...Well, some things I have been learning a lot throughout these 7 months is that there is so much more that we can do, that we are capable of.  At first teaching in Spanish was my problem, it was difficult, because I didn't know the language.  Now, I can convey my thoughts...somewhat effectively hahaha.  But with that comes an even greater responsibility.  In the words of Spider man's uncle..."With great power comes great responsiblility" jaja.  I have had to learn to trust in the lord and follow his plans, and learn to teach as the Savior taught.  I have a long way to go to teach like the Savior, but, it's amazing what comes to your mind and in your heart, when you are teaching throught the Spirit of the Lord.  It's always exactly what the person needs.  It's a responsibility to teach these people the gospel of Jesus Christ and I feel so honored and loved by my Heavenly Father to have this responsibility.  I know that he loves us and all of his children, he wants everyone to know the truth.  We tend to turn to ourselves when we have problems, and try to think of something that might solve it, when really all we need to do is simply kneel in prayer to our heavenly father humbly and ask for guidance.  I know he will respond.  I have received direct answers to my prayers.  I know he lives, he loves us, and he restored his church on the earth.  I'm grateful to be a part of it and to share it to others.

Con MUCHO AMOR!!!
