Week 11 in Villas

so!!! Don't have a lot of time OTRA VEZ!!! got to manage my time better!...so we had a baptism this week! his name is Samuel he is 12 years old! and it was a beautiful baptism with music and good speakers and the spirit was super strong!  I just felt soo happy for him at the end of it and he just couldn't stop smiling!  we are hoping that his mom will get baptized the following week, but well see what happens...I feel super blessed right now to be in the mission...having these experiences and learing new things....helping others.  It's wonderful to focus on what matters most and to do little things that are necessary like read the scriptures and pray.  We have had to focus a lot on prayer with our recent converts and investigators this week..A lot happened this week and we didn't have a lot of time to really work and be out in the field, but we talked a lot about the importance of family prayer...praying as a husband and wife togther and personally and how it can bring one together in all things and all decisions...don't have time to say more gotta go , but love you all!!!

Week 10 in Villas

I literally teared up when you mentioned that Jayden would be getting the priesthood this sunday!...I'm so proud of him. :D Also, tell him happy birthday!! I can't believe he is 12 years old!  A deacon!!!  So cool!
So this week was a little bit slow.  But!!!! we found a new investigator. Her name is Angelica and she is super sweet, and super prepared.  She accepted a baptismal date and everything when we contacted her on the street and she immeditaley let us in...it was awesome!...also!!! we have a baptism this coming saturday and another following that.  It is a mother and her son.  They are getting baptized separately because Sam, the 12 year old, wants to get baptized on his birthday (which is this saturday, as a present jaja..super cute!) but his mom Dulce has to wait a bit. She's getting married this week -YAY! and then will be baptzied the week after her son on the 30th!  We are super excited for this family because of the progress they are making to have an eternal family.  It's wonderful!
So, I have thought this week a lotlately  about the love show by our Lord through the restoration of his gospel, and the convincing power and witness we have that is the Book of Mormon.  I don't have a lot  of time to write all that I would like, but during a lesson this week, as we were reading the story of the Prophet Joseph Smith with one of our investigators,  I was overcome with the feeling that the love of god for each one of us is shown through the restoration.  He wants us to return to him.  He wants us to become like him.  I can't seem to think that it's easy when your children are always rejecting you and your prophets;  rejecting what would bring them eternal life and eternal happiness.  But he has given us a second chance,  and he has given us the means to succeed with a living prophet, the bible, and the book of mormon.  In this book-every word, every line, every page- testifies and proves that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer.  He loves us, and he knows us and the choices we need to make. I know the church of Jesus Christ is on the earth today and it contains all that we need to return to him, and teaches us the reason why we are here on earth, where we came from and where we are going. Joseph Smith is true prophet of God, and he did not write the Book of Mormon, he translated it.  This book contains all that we need- in whatever moment.
I would ask you to read two chapters of Preach my gospel (this book isn't just for missionaries you know) chapters 1, the restoration and chapter 5, the book of mormon.  Or read the history of Joseph smith.   Pray to understand or find something you hadn't before, and if you dont know if the book of mormon is the word of God, all you need to do is read it and pray about it...you will know that it is the word of god!

love you all bunches! thanks for your thoughts and prayers and emails!!

Week 9 in Villas

I dont have alot of time today...again jaja because we got permission to watch mulan and started writing an hour late...lol.  But this week has been super interesting a little bit trying and but in a good way.  We had interview with our mission president, my last interview because we are receiving a new mission president this next change, our new mission president is from the US.  But anyway...I learned acouple things...that I dont have alot of time left Like I keep thinking I do, and the best way to help others and to become true converts, true disciples of Jesus Christ is when we lose our Pride, and Gain the attribute of humilty.  I came to realize that, that has always been something I have struggled with.  I dont like when Im wrong or need to change, And I refuse to accept it.  I think alot of us are like that sometimes.  I have had some trying moments during this past cambio as I hit acouple breaking points in my mission.  My mission president told me, that if I wanted my actual last interview in the mission to be worth something, and not a super sad experience, I would do everything possible now, inorder to feel worthy, happy, successful when I did finish my mission in 9 months.  The gospel of Jesus christ isnt a learn now and wait till later to use thing. its a learn now use now.  And the best way that we can learn by the spirit, the best way we can progress is when we forget our pride, and humble ourselves. Realize that we need to change and do it conforming to the will of our father in Heaven.  I am honestly and trully grateful for all the suppor that everyone of you has given me.   And for the opportunity I have to help others come unto Christ. He lives. and he loves us.   I hope that everyone has a good week.

Week 8 in Villas

So! General conference was awesome!.(For those of you who dont know what it is..General Conference is when there is a transmission throughout all the world, where the prophet and apostoles speak to us, we listen to their messajes and can learn a little more about our Gods plan for us currently)  So I learned alot during the conference my two favorite takes were from David A. Bednar and Dallin H.Oaks.   First, because I realized that I Received the answers to two questions that my investigators had, so that was awesome, and I felt as through I received a stronger testimony about a couple things.  First the importance of Baptism and the gift of the hold ghost, and the connection it has to Opposition and how we use are agency.  I wont go into great detail about what I learned, but,  Its amazing to me how the gospel is a complete circle.  and how everything can be explained.  WHy we are here, why do we need opposition, and how we can overcome it.  The lord has provided every possible measn for us to succeed.  I realized that we have goals, our heavenyl father has blessing and goals for us.  and they are reachable.  they are never impossible, nothing he tells us to do, or tells us we should do is out of reach its always right at our fingertips we just ahve to grab on to it.  And sometimes we have to let go of some things, but we will always receive an assurance that what we are doing is the correct path if we are following his will. BUt, really when I watched the conference it just proved to me again, that there are living prophets on the earth today and are leading the church of Jesus Christ of LAtter day Saints.  ITs what makes us sthe Church of Jesus Crhist its his church and its contains all of the truth not just a part.  I love everything about it.

Dont have alot of time to write more today, but, I love you all so much, thanks so much for your love and support.

Week 7 in Villas

Easter here is super Different they have Semana Santa(Holy Week)...each day celebrates a different part of the atonement of Jesus Christ...Its really awesome in some ways and in others...not so much.  Its many a thing that the Catholics do. But, its nice to focus in on what Christ suffered for us.  Our president asked us to watch the Passion of Christ..we were all super surprised.  Ill be real didnt really like the movie all that much, but it did get me thinking about what he suffered and how at anytime he could of stopped it all, given up...and how much easier it would of been, he had the power to do it. Why didnt he?...I realized that the atonement is an act of Pure love, first his love for his Father in Heaven, second his love for us.  He didnt just give his life for his friend like the scripture in Juan says, but for strangers, even his enemies.  He waited and suffered until all was completed.  Thats why hes our savior, because he is the only way we can return to our heavenly father its the only way we can become clean. And Im so so so greatful, Because without him, id helpless but, im not, we arenot, we can keep on progressing.  BUt, whats most wonderful about it all is that he didnt just suffer and die for us, everybody wants to focus on that, but he LIVES! he was resurrected and has body of flesh and bone like us, but perfect.  He lives to helps. I want to ask a question,  you guys can answer it and tell me, or you can keep it to yourselves, first, do you really think that he lives and was resurrected like the prophets of old have said?...What does that really mean to you, to know he lives??...Yo se que vive mi señor. Con toda mi corazon, se que el vive, y nos ama.

anyway so some things that happened this week, dont have alot of time, but we had a baptism!!! fotos will come next week because I for my Cable to hook in the camera to the computer....but her name is Andrea, shes 15 years old and super super sweet! so excited for her!...also just finished another change, and Im staying in Villas Queretaro for another 6 weeks, along with mycompanion hermana Cruz we dont have changes! yea! and we are soo excited for the next change, we have lots of plans and are super excited for where the lord will take us and our investigators.

Week 6 in Villas

Hola everyone!!!
sooo, this week was just filled to the brim with MIRACLES!..so first off, I have a whole bunch of pics to send, so have fun, also. Ok, so we have been teaching this part member family since I arrived in Villas.  WE found them in the ARea book, and through a refrence from the hermans in my house.  anyway so its the Familia Armador, the dad, is a member less active, and the mom and kids all are investigating the church..oh and they speak english!...kinda..the dad lived almost his entire life in California, so speaks enlgihs really well, but the rest of the family dont speak english so we teach in spanish, but, its fun! anyway so they have been doing alot of changing and have had desires to be baptized since the beginnng but werent married...so this week, during divisions we visited this family, and I just asked them straight out if they had plans on getting married..or how these plans were going..ja...and they were like oh yea we are getting married this week!...we have been praying about it..and just knew that this was the time for us...so they are getting everything ready to get married and then they said that it was because they realized the wanted to be baptized and receive all the blessing that the Lord has in store for them, it was amazing...It honestly cae out of nowhere...and since we have seen them afterwards, then have been working together as a family to complete everything they need to tomake this promise with the Lord, and its amazing to be apart of.honestly, and Im so excited for them!...we also have  a baptism this week withour investigator ANdrea shes 15 years old..I seem to have luck with the Youth because all of my converts are under the age of 21. jaja.  So I dont have a whole bunch of time to write this week, but, I know that Heavenly Father is looking out for us, and wants us to return to him, we are all a big family, all brothers and sisters.  THis phrase can literally change everything.  If we have love one to another.  Also, so this week starts Semana Santa in Mexico, and SO Ive been doing alot of thinking about what Christ did for me, what he suffered.  For everyone of us...Alot of people think that its just our sins...but, as members of the church we know its so much more that that. Its all of our sufferings and trials, afflictions, and sickness, he knows it all, every trying moment, every hard decision, because he suffered for that too, so that we can have a way out, lay downour burdens and take up his, and become clean and whole.  WE can always receive the guidance we need, we just need to ask, and be willing to accept the answer he will give.  Love you all so much!  never forget to Seguir adelante con Fe en Jesucristo.

LES AMO MUCHO!!

Week 5 in Villas

Today was super fun, we went to a restaurrant and had some Mariscos...seafood..soo good, Ill send pics...I feel like dad right now..we have a baptism this next saturday...hopefully for Andrea and Alan.  But, they werent at church this past sunday so we may have to postpone it, well see...I hope everything works out.  we had some new investigators come to church this sunday, Jose Luis and his wife, Guadalupe, they are soo sweet are a bit older but, are super open, and they participated the entire 3 hours of church,we have a lesson with them today, we also had some less actives come back to church only the father is a member the mom and kids arnt so we have been visiting them, and they want to be baptized, super sweet family. The weather was a little bit different this week, it was super cld and raing in the beginning of the week, and now its super sunny and hot...I prefer the rain...in the sun, I am always get burned..jaja. We had a cool expereince this week with a new investigator, we found her when trying to contact a old investigator, she letus in, shes 21 years old and her name is Kendy, shes so sweet, and super open to learning more about the gospel, we have already taught her 2 times and invited her to baptism.  The only thing is she cant go to church because she works on Sundays but says she is willing to find another job, It was really quite interesting when we first taught her because at first it was rough...but then we started to trust more in the lord, and the inspired question starting flooding the lesson, and the spirit was present, its amazingi iwhat can happen witha little preparation and sìritual guidance..there is no other way to teach.if the spirit isnt there they wont learn, they wont believe its simple. and its very easy for the spirit to leave, the simplest thought or action or word and boom..its gone.  Its a delicate and a necessary thing to have in our lives. we cannot follow the will of God without the holyghost.  There is talk about reverence, in the church meetings, and I can testif that if we prepare ourselves we will feel the holyghost in our lifes, we will learn from our experiences and progress.  Nobody is perfect..but, we have the potencial to become perfect.  as Children of God, we have a great potential and its so easy to forget. Make the little change sin your life that you need to inorder to be in tune with the spirit, and always ask yourself, what are you willing to do?
